Safety Guidelines

🚨

In an Emergency

  • Alert the nearest WFV Marshal immediately
  • Follow instructions from WFV Marshals, Safety Leads, or Police Officers on site
  • For medical emergencies, locate the First Aid point on the square map
  • Call 911 if the situation is life-threatening

If Separated from Your Group

Go directly to the Designated Waiting Point / Lost & Found at the Reception Tent. Marshals are stationed throughout the route to assist you.

Road Crossing Rules

  • Wait for the Marshal's signal before crossing any road
  • Always cross at designated crosswalks (marked yellow on map)
  • Do not cross roads outside of designated crossing points
  • Stay on the marked walking path and follow directional arrows

First Aid & Medical

  • First Aid station is marked on the Albert Campbell Square map
  • Medical volunteers are on site throughout the event
  • Wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes for the walk
  • Stay hydrated — water stations are available at the square

Walking Tips

  • Apply sunscreen before the event — it's an outdoor walk
  • Stay in your value group until you arrive back to the square
  • Inform a Marshal if you need to stop or leave the walk early
  • Children must remain with their group and a responsible adult at all times

⚡ Know Your Marshals

WFV Marshals wear coloured vests and are stationed throughout Albert Campbell Square and along the route. They are your first point of contact for any question, concern, or emergency. Always follow their instructions — they are there to keep everyone safe.
